We believe participatory art programs should be affordable and accessible for all. That’s why we partner with other local nonprofits to offer free classes with underserved members of our community.

Over 90% of seniors in low-income Boulder housing live alone. Social isolation is a real danger. Community art classes help our elders see friends, meet neighbors, and build connection. Older adults who participate in 3 activities each week are also 63% less likely to have dementia.

Know Our Why:
Over 65% of our free programs are with children living in low-income households or youth facing homelessness. The arts help kids thrive and build brighter futures, which benefits both the student as well as our community.
Studies have documented that low-income students who participate in the arts:
have higher attendance in school and drop-out rates five times lower than their peers;
engage more in school and are four times more likely to have high academic achievement than their peers;
are twice as likely to graduate college.
That’s why we partner with Youth Services Initiative, The “I Have a Dream” Foundation, Attention Homes, and others - because art matters for every child.
